Wash. rescue tug aids powerless fishing boat PDF Print E-mail

NEAH BAY, Wash. —

An emergency response tugboat has aided a 106-foot fishing boat that lost power off northwest Washington's Cape Flattery.

According to a state Ecology Department news release, the Crowley Marine tug Hunter towed the Papado II to the fishing vessel's home port, Neah Bay.

South Street Seaport Museum’s scrappy W.O. Decker is the Tug of the Year.

The South Street Seaport Museum’s W.O. Decker was just named Tug of the Year at the Waterford Tugboat Roundup.
The 52-foot-long, 78-year-old vessel owned by the Seaport Museum headed to Waterford, N.Y. Sept. 5 to claim her title at the tenth annual Waterford Tugboat Roundup.

The two-and-a-half day festival stretched along a waterfront set with bright greenery and glassy water in the sleepy canal town just up the Hudson from Albany and Troy.
