The US Coast Guard has intercepted a self-propelled, semi-submersible vessel off the coast of Guatemala that was carrying 5.5 tons of cocaine with an estimated street value in excess of $350 million. The four-man crew of the unusual craft was arrested, after sinking the vessel when they realized that they had attracted the unwanted attention of Customs and Border Protection, the Navy and the Coast Guard.

Dramatic Changes Expected Locally as OSK Lines Terminal Opens in December PDF Print E-mail

JACKSONVILLE, FL -- In just over a year, Jacksonville could see dramatic changes as the new Mitsui OSK Lines terminal opens at Dames Point. The Jacksonville Port Authority says Mitsui OSK could open by December 2008. When it does, it will open a direct shipping lane to Asia - and generate a huge area impact.
