BBM Holdings - parent company of Broadband Maritime - a provider of always on Internet, broadband and worldwide ship-to-shore telephone services for commercial shipping fleets, announced on June 5 that it has ceased operations and laid off most of its staff. The remaining staff members will complete the shutdown. No helpful information was available on the company's Web site, http://www.broadbandmaritime.com.
