TITAN successfully refloats grounded ferry Arcangel in Cancun, Mexico PDF Print E-mail

Aerial View of Arcangel project site (POMPANO BEACH, Fla.; July 1, 2008) TITAN Salvage reported today that it has successfully refloated a ferry, once grounded in a lagoon just north of Cancun, Mexico and redelivered her to her owners.

The Arcangel, a 350-foot ferry that was no longer in service, was docked at Puerto Morelos when it was blown about a half-mile off its mooring during a severe winter storm in November 2007. A 10-man team, which included TITAN salvage specialists and local Mexican labor, were contracted and began the salvage job on May 19, and the work was concluded a month later.

TITAN Salvage positions second jack-up barge for New Carissa wreck in Coos Bay, PDF Print E-mail

(COOS BAY, Ore.; July 1, 2008) TITAN Salvage began wreck removal operations of the New Carissa last week following weeks of preparation and mobilization in Coos Bay, Ore.

Favorable weather conditions on June 17 allowed TITAN to successfully position a second jack-up barge, the Karlissa B near the New Carissa wreck site. The first jack-up barge, the Karlissa A was positioned at the site in early June.
