The Sydney Morning Herald reports that salvage operations on the Pasha Bulker will not resume until next Monday, when a king tide is expected to provide the best chance of refloating the stranded ship. The Pacific Salvor has been enlisted to help drag the ship out to sea, using its 15-ton anchors and winches. Two salvage tugs will also assist in the operation. Once free, the ship will be taken to the dry dock at Newcastle for inspection and then will return to Japan for major repairs.
