ASHLAND -- An area tug company says it's in desperate need of employees. While the McGinnis Corporation celebrated the christening of a new tug this weekend they're in need of workers to keep barges afloat. Click READ MORE to read more A shortage of welders has meant longer hours for those already employed with the company. A spokesperson for McGinnis says there are immediate openings for anyone qualified. Those interested should contact the company at their South Point, Ohio location. The new Tug, christened the J-A Ward on saturday, is named after James Ward the Third- a McGinnis employee for 29 years. It is the first boat built by the company since 1981. Employees from McGinnis Incorporated built the brand new 21-hundred horse power boat.
