Three crewmembers of the tugboat Joe Foss were rescued by a fishing boat as the tug was sinking off the coast of north Oregon. The tug started taking on water and issued a distress call shortly after 6:00 AM on January 23. The tug had taken on some water earlier in the month, but the leak was thought to have been repaired. The crew members were not injured.
