A tugboat company and seven other parties are being sued in the deaths of two men and the injuries to seven survivors who were working on a bridge being reconstructed following Hurricane Katrina. The lawsuit claims that a support column for the bridge was damaged after being struck by a tug, which contributed to the bridge's subsequent collapse. The bridge was partially open at the time of the accident.
