Crowley's Gladiator tug was dispatched last week from Neah Bay, WA to assist the tug Na Hoku, which was towing an oil barge loaded with 2.5 million gallons of gasoline, after the Na Hoku lost power and steering. The State of Washington has contracted with Crowley for emergency winter service since 1999, during which time it has assisted with 36 vessel emergencies during the winter months.
