| USCG Lifts 9 From Workboat Mishap In LA |

The US Coast Guard responded to the scene of a collision involving the workboat Lady Marie and a stationary wellhead near Venice, LA. Six of the crew members were airlifted from the vessel and flown to Air Station New Orleans before being transported by ground to West Jefferson Memorial Hospital. The captain of the Lady Marie was able to radio for help after the accident and remained on scene to assist with the injured crew. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
