Suez LNG NA, LLC will bring US mariners aboard the Suez Matthew as part of an agreement between Suez and MarAd. The agreement, which spans five years, is designed to create job opportunities for US mariners in LNG shipping and should allow US mariners to fill between 10% and 25% of duty assignments aboard the company's LNG carriers by the year 2012. The growth rate of the international LNG fleet is 15% -20% per year. Currently, no LNG carriers operate under the US flag.
