Copyright 2007 Houston Chronicle Thor, the newest tugboat on the Houston Ship Channel, is part of a breed of high performers being brought in to handle a growing number of big ships. The $8 million tug's maneuverability is really what sets it apart from most others, according to longtime Texas towing company Suderman & Young, which owns the vessel.
