Salvage operations continue on the MCS Napoll, which ran aground in January in the English Channel. A refloat attempt was scuttled after the British Marine and Coastguard Agency discovered that the damage to the ship was more severe than first thought.

The ship has been turned over to salvors and is being dismantled in place. The bow section is scheduled to be removed from the site today, and will be towed by a tug to Howard and Wolff for recycling. That trip is expected to take five days.
