The British government is considering a proposal to continue to allow the sale of red diesel fuel for use by private boaters and the marine industry, although the sales of red diesel would be taxed at a higher rate. The move would eliminate the need to retrofit on-board fuel tanks and change the marine fueling infrastructure.
