Lloyd's Register Releases Ballast Water Treatment Guide |

Lloyd's Register has released a new Guide To Ballast Water Treatment Technology, which provides an independent analysis of commercially available technologies for ballast water treatment. The International Convention For The Control of Ships' Ballast Water and Sediments will require newly constructed ships with less than 5,000 cubic meters of ballast water capacity to use some type of ballast water treatment system by January 1, 2009.
