ASC Takes Delivery Of Tanker For BP Charter |

Aker Philadelphia Shipyard delivered the second of as many as 16 product tankers to the American Shipping Corporation. The ownership of the MT46 Veteran Class Overseas Long Beach was transferred on June 26. American Shipping Corp. had earlier taken delivery of the Overseas Houston, a double-hulled modern product tanker. The Overseas Long Beach has been chartered by BP. Three additional tankers are under construction, one of which will be delivered to ASC at the end of 2007.
